Major League Baseball

Major League Baseball (MLB) is a professional baseball organization that is the oldest of the major professional sports leagues in the United States and Canada. MLB comprises two main leagues: the American League (AL) and the National League (NL), which were formed in the 19th century. Each league consists of teams that compete in a season, culminating in the postseason tournament, where teams vie for the championship title in the World Series. MLB is responsible for overseeing the rules and regulations of the game, player contracts, and overall governance of professional baseball in North America. It also promotes the sport, organizes promotional events, and develops strategies for player development and fan engagement.
