NBA

NBA stands for the National Basketball Association, which is a professional basketball league in North America. It is one of the major professional sports leagues in the United States and Canada and is widely regarded as the premier men’s professional basketball league in the world. The league was founded on June 6, 1946, as the Basketball Association of America (BAA) and later merged with the National Basketball League (NBL) in 1949, adopting the name NBA.

The NBA consists of 30 teams, divided into two conferences: the Eastern Conference and the Western Conference. Each team plays an 82-game regular season, culminating in a playoff tournament that determines the league champion. The NBA is known for its high level of competition, showcasing some of the best basketball talent globally, including renowned players who have become sports icons.
